About Lauren
Lauren Bright Pacheco is a New York City-based writer and producer who started out in news radio. Over the years she's worked as a reporter, on-air television talent, newspaper columnist, magazine writer and has received three Emmy Awards for her efforts as a daytime television producer. She is the co-host, narrator and producer of numerous critically acclaimed true crime podcasts including the first season of Happy Face, Murder in Oregon, Murder in Illinois and Murder in Miami. She is also the host of The Murders at White House Farm (HBO Max) and the 2024 iHeart Podcast Award winning and Webby Award nominated Symptomatic: A Medical Mystery Podcast. Lauren is also a frequent guest host on the Wrongful Conviction podcast series which highlights cases of people convicted of crimes they did not commit. Bright Pacheco is dedicated to raising awareness for criminal justice reform by harnessing podcasting as audio activism.
She's currently investigating a controversial murder involving a young mother sentenced to 55 years for the stabbing death of her stepdaughter.
